- Pentane gas is used mainly as a primary blowing agent in the manufacturing of polystyrene foam In the industry. It is also used in geothermal power stations , in binary cycle systems wherein warm geothermal water is brought to the surface and passed through a heat exchanger containing pentane
- Pentane is used because of its lower cost compared to other chemicals, low boiling point and relative safety when in use. Normal pentane is also used as a solvent and in varied industrial applications such as pharmaceutical, petrochemical, paints & coatings. Molecular Formula of pentane is C5H12 and its density is 0,623
- LOREX C5H12 Pentane Gas Detector is specifically designed and calibrated to detect pentane gas leak. It is a fixed gas detector has 4-20mA analog output and NO/NC voltage free contact output (Optional).
