- The
Dark
Crystal Reader is a passive RFID (Radio
Frequency Identification) reader for use with the
Progeny
P4
systems. The proximity credential is
encoded with an
encrypted
identification number.
This number is transmitted when prese
nted to the
Dark
Crystal reader. The reader then passes this
number on to the control equipment for an access
control decision.
- The switch plate style use M3.5 mm screws mount to any standard single gang back box , which makes first fix possible. The switch plate reader can be surface or flush mounted.
- The Dark Crystal reader is weather protected and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. 4800 (switch plate) is IP65 rated when sealed against mounting surface
