Application Notes
For best performance, the LOREX YL-938 UV electric fly killer should be placed in the area where flying insects are most frequently seen. The device can be used on a table, shelf or suspended from a suitable point. For hanging use, it is recommended to position the unit approximately 1.5 - 3 metres above the floor.
To improve the attraction effect of the UV light, the device should not be positioned directly next to very strong lighting sources. Especially in the evening, more efficient results can be achieved by placing it near windows and door entrances, but in a safe location where direct human contact will not occur.
The product has an IP20 protection rating. Therefore, it should not be used in areas directly exposed to rain, water splashes, high humidity or outdoor weather conditions. If used on balconies, terraces or business entrances, the device must be placed in a dry, sheltered location where it will not receive water contact.
Do not touch the high-voltage grid while the device is operating. Before cleaning, always unplug the unit, make sure the device is completely disconnected from power and empty the collection tray safely. It is recommended to use the product away from flammable materials and out of the reach of children.
