Button Disable Feature with Key

The LOREX LR-RIM door release model allows the door to be opened manually by means of the mechanical button located on the unit. However, some users may wish to disable the use of this button for security or control purposes. This product has been specially designed to meet that need.

Thanks to the key lock mechanism:

The mechanical opening button on the door release unit can be disabled with a key.

When the key is turned to the lock position, the button is fixed in a non-pressable state and disabled.

In this case, the door can only be opened in two ways:

1- Manually with the key

2- By remote operation using an external electrical signal (for example, doorbell transformer voltage)

This prevents the unit from being opened by unauthorised persons in situations where the button is not intended to be used. In other words, the system provides additional protection against unauthorised access.
