LOREX LR-CH2O ATEX certified Formaldehyde Gas Detector

LOREX LR-CH2O ATEX certified Formaldehyde Gas Detector

LOREX LR-CH2O ATEX certified Formaldehyde Gas Detector is specifically designed and calibrated to detect formaldehyde (CH2O) gas leak. It is a fixed gas detector with 4-20mA analog output and optional NO/NC voltage-free contact output.

LOREX Formaldehyde Gas Detector is designed and manufactured to work in harsh environments.

It has ATEX certificate as Ex II 2G Ex d IIC T6, Ex II 2G Ex mb IIC T6.

Application Areas: Formaldehyde is generally used to manufacture composite and engineered wood products used extensively in cabinetry, countertops, moldings, furniture, shelving, stair systems, flooring, wall sheathing, support beams and trusses and many other household furnishings and structures. In this context, formaldehyde gas detectors are used in industries where wood-based materials are manufactured.

Measurement Options: 0-100% LEL, 0-10 ppm

Why should we detect Formaldehyde leakage in the industry?

Formaldehyde is a highly reactive, colorless, poisonous gas created by the oxidation of methanol. Formaldehyde is harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or contacted directly. It can cause irritation to skin, eyes, and respiratory system. Coughing and wheezing are common symptoms, as well as headaches and dizziness. Formaldehyde exposure can be lethal at high enough concentrations, and it is also dangerous in long-term exposure. Formaldehyde is a carcinogen and can cause menstrual and sterility disorders in women. Direct contact with the eyes can cause damage ranging from mild discomfort and burning to complete loss of vision. If formaldehyde catches fire, the vapors are irritating, corrosive, and likely toxic.

Formaldehyde concentration can be measured in the air with our detector. If the concentration exceeds preset levels, the gas detector can trigger audible and visual alarm devices or be integrated to 3rd party systems like BMS systems, Fire Alarm Systems, etc.
