The Ei605 optical smoke alarm operates on the light scater principle to detect smoke particles entering the optical chamber. This optical alarm is sensitive to all domestic fire types but is especially sensitive to visible smouldering fires.
The Ei605 is supplied with screw fixings with simple to install twist on base. It is not possible to fit the alarm onto it’s mounting base if the battery is not present. The Alarm is fitted with a large easy to use Test Button to facilitate frequent testing of your Alarm. The Test button can also be used to silence nuissance alarms, e.g. cooking fumes, for a 10 minute period. The sounder will automatically stop sounding when smoke particles are no longer present in the chamber. The Ei605 will emit a short beep every 40 seconds to warn you that the battery needs replacing. The Ei605 will flash it’s red LED (light) evey 40 seconds to indicate that it has successfully conducted a self check of the alarm. There are also Hardwire and RadioLiNK interconnect versions available.
